draw a flow chart to describe the authors experience in the swimming pool
or
draw a webchart mentioning how the author overcame his fear of water

Dear student

Here are the sequence of events that took place in the story chronologically. As this question partly tests your creativity, you will have to draw the flowchart on your own, using the following hints

1. The narrator landed at the bottom of the swimming pool, swallowing water. He was frightened but not terrified uncontrollably.

2. The narrator tried to jump back up to the top but he couldn't. He began to panic as he could only see the water, which had a yellow tinge.

3. As he started suffocating for air, he tried to reach around him for something to hold onto but found nothing.

4. He came up to the surface, flailing, swallowing water and choking. He could not bring his whole body up as they felt like dead weights. He screamed as the weight of his body pulled him down again.

5. As he reached the bottom, his lungs hurt and his head was throbbing due to the lack of air. He tried to jump back up again but he could not see anything due to the yellow tinge of the water. At this point, an uncontrollable terror overcame the narrator as he shrieked underwater, paralysed stiff with fear.

6. With the last bit of his strength, He tried to jump to the top once again, but to no avail. There was still nothing to hold and there was yellowish water all around him. His terror increased. Paralysed with fear, the narrator tried to call out for his mother.

7. He came to the surface and sank for a third time. As he swallowed more water instead of air, he started to relax a bit. Blackness swept over his body removing the fear and panic. He felt tired, peaceful and felt like he was going to sleep.

8. Suddenly, he was lying on his stomach beside the pool, vomiting. He heard that he was going to be ok, and that he would have nearly died.
