Explain the types of friction

Frictional resistance to the relative motion of two solid objects is usually proportional to the force which presses the surfaces together as well as theroughness of the surfaces. Since it is the force perpendicular or "normal" to the surfaces which affects the frictional resistance, this force is typically called the "normal force" and designated by N. The frictional resistance force may then be written:

riction are of 4 types.Answer:Rolling friction- Riding your bike or skateboard.Sliding friction- Cartilage against your bone.Static friction- You trying to push a heavy bookcase.Fluid friction- When you row your boat through the water. We have two types of friction(1) STATIC or LIMITTING friction :this is the maximum force that must be overcome before a body will just start to move over another body.(2) KINETIC or DYNAMIC friction : this is the maximum force that must be overcome before a body will just be in uniform motion over another body .The effect of friction on a moving object is that it will slow down the movement of the object. In order to keep the object at a constant speed, extra energy has to be used or added.
