Is energy evolved in physical change?

Dear student
Please find below the solution to the asked query:

Generally energy is not evolved in physical changes. It is absorbed.
Physical changes mostly involve changing of states of matter.
So for example. melting of ice is a physical change and conversion of water to vapour is also a physical change.
In this physical change energy has to be supplied to convert water to vapour form , and no energy is released.
