Pls answer it in 150 words??

Dear Student,
In the story, William Douglas has expressed his journey from fear of death to freedom of living. He had developed an extreme fear of water, pool and everything related to swimming because of a terrific incident he had once faced in the pool. He couldn't gather courage to go into the water again. But then he realised that he has missed a lot of good moments because of the fright. He was determined to get rid of it. He got a dedicated instructor who taught him piece by piece to swim. The instructor's perseverance to train and the author's determination and strong willpower could finally defeat his fear of water.

The story depicts that fear is nothing but it's our own state of mind which is created by us. If we run away from it, we make it grow stronger. But when we face it and fight back, it will shrink and disappear.

Hope this clears your doubts regarding this topic.
