CBSE The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) seeks feedback from its’ students about their schools. In an initiative by the Ministry of Human Resource Development to develop the National Education Policy 2016, the CBSE is calling for students to submit their honest feedback regarding their schools’ infrastructure, teaching methodology and the Board’s curriculum quality.

Asking for necessary feedback from its various ‘stakeholders’ and mentioning students as the main beneficiaries, the CBSE requests all the Heads of the affiliated schools to encourage and facilitate students of classes 6 to 12 to fill the online forms available on their academic official site.

The questionnaire consists of 28 questions ranging from teaching-learning environment to level of safety measures at school. Questions 1 to 22 are mandatory to answer for classes 6 to 12, whereas questions 23 to 25 are specific for classes 9 to 12 and questions 26 to 28 for classes 11 and 12 only.

Questions on curriculum and teaching methodology focus with the Board willing to know and understand if students are able to find the content useful in real life. The multiple choice questions are intended to probe students to see if their learning in classrooms is helpful to them in real life situations that they encounter outside their classrooms. The CBSE is also interested in knowing the utility and what kind of vocational courses will be efficient in making students employable. Students of classes 11 and 12 are given a list of vocational courses to choose from asking them which one gives them the best chance of getting employment. The online feedback is not mandatory but those willing to fill may submit it on or before October 5, 2015.

Students, it is a great chance for you to give your honest feedbacks and ask for the change you’d like to see.
