India Right to EducationThe Central Government is planning to make Class 10 Board exams compulsory for all students. Although it is still under speculation, but it is most likely to happen in the near future. The No-Detention Policy, under the Right to Education Act, might also be scrapped by the Central Government in a phased manner.

A meeting of the Central Advisory Board of Education (CABE) has been called today to come to a decision on this and other related matters. A decision will be taken at this meeting comprising of state education ministers, experts and academicians. The CABE is the highest education policy advisory committee of the Human Resources Development (HRD) Ministry.

The No-Detention policy which assures automatic promotion of students upto class 8, was introduced under the Right to Education Act, 2009, to reduce the burden on students, but many teachers and parents have lately complained that it has failed to deliver. Many opine that it has in fact resulted in depletion of quality of school education.

Do you also think that the No-Detention Policy has diminished the quality of education at school? What do you prefer: CCE or Board Exams? Share your thoughts with us and we would love to publish your opinions here.

CCE, is not a burden for student, because it was implemented on basis of the reviews of Board. Board is a system where you learn, memorize and just write in exams. But in CCE, they try to change the way that education not about memorizing, it encourages to think and conclude by our own way. But, even CCE has some points which detach students from their studies. Therefore, CCE is a good option, if not for the teachers who take outside learning as a waste of time and follow the rules of CCE properly.

CCE is obviously easier for lazy people like me…but of course the quality is affected. I have mixed feelings about the comeback of Board Exams!

If I can say then cce is good because it provides a competition between the best and worst students of the class.
In case if a child is not aware about his/her study but he/she is good in other activities and always be in discipline then it will be benfecial for his/her to gain A+ grade and it also has bad effects of the marks orf grades of the intelligent student if in case he/she doesn’t obey the teachers and monitors and staff…

Yes, you all are correct. But, we do have to write the answers or concepts from NCERT books only and also, during maths exam, each and every steps should be explained properly and shouldn’t directly write the answers in 4-6 steps. So, I prefer IIT JEE

According to me, CBSE is better than CCE. CBSE provides better education quality than CCE.

According to me CCE is better than board exams..rather than studying it helps us to learn a lot of things..which are also useful for us..

Well, I would prefer board exams because I think it is important for a student to study than to get involved in CCE. CCE, in my opinion, is a burden for students.
