According to the latest IIT-JEE official buzz, students appearing for the IIT JEE might have to take the entrance exam completely in the online mode from 2014.It has been decided by the Human Resource Development Ministry and Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) jointly to do away with the pen and pencil format under the a move to computerize the important centrally conducted entrance exams.

It has been confirmed that the ministry is looking for a firm that can audit the progression to the shift. If the audit deems the board and the government fit for the change, the switch will be implemented as early as 2014.

However, before all you aspirants raise your hopes – the online pattern will be of no respite as the test is unlikely to be easy or simple

But is the decision made OK? I mean, many problems like disconnection of network, slow speed might cause problems to students giving exam, who could have done very well in offline JEE mains
