Top 10 reasons Students Give for Not Completing Homework

So, homework.. Quite a big deal at school, huh? Homework, whether it is the one given at the beginning of a long summer vacation, or a long weekend or on a daily basis, is quite a fun spoiler for kids. After having spent so many hours at school, where majority of the hours are taken up by classes, there seems to be no respite from studying and books even after!
So, some of the clever ones around you, (even including you, maybe!) come up with these lovely excuses, or ‘valid reasons’ that they call it for not being able to complete homework… We observed a few and bunched up one of the most hilarious ones for your entertainment! Note that these are only for recreational purpose and should not inspire you to follow suit!
1. The standard ‘I was too unwell’: We can remember those many occasions where we would come to class and request the teacher to spare us because we were not up to the mark, healthwise. (THough, mostly, this ill health comprised of a runny nose, or at most, a short series of cough)
2. ‘There was no electricity’: Our parents told us how they sat under street lights in order to study. But, it isn’t quite the scene with us. So, in places in India where power cuts are frequent, we can always blame the electricity department for stopping us from completing our work.
3. There was a family function: Yeah, it was my mother brother daughter uncle’s relative’s engagement ceremony, so I couldn’t complete it.
4. There were guests at my place: And I had to look after them and whether they ate well.. and well, the list goes on.
5. I couldn’t find my notebook: I bought it to school yesterday, and then it decided to take another route home…
6. I had a lot of doubts, so couldn’t understand it: This one, at times, given by sincere students too, can help others get away as well!! 😀
7. I did not bring the notebook to school today: I was so engrossed in the homework till late at night that I didn’t remember to keep it in my bag at the last moment…
8. I gave my notebook to my friend, and forgot to take it back: And the extremely kind person that I am, I didn’t have the heart to ask for it, just because I had homework.. (Adding a last note about how the friend came back from an illness or was not one of the “bright ones”.
9. Just one question is left, may I please submit it tomorrow?: This question= these ten questions.
10. I am submitting as much as I completed, please check the rest later? : With the ‘completed part’ often comprising one poor question at one corner of a single page…!

Yeppp…..these excuses r used by me a no. of times…but most probably not! Coz our teachers aren’t of such kind who believe them..but still as I am punctual and complete the homeworks at time…teachers do believe me and also becoz i am a topper mashallah

another excuse is that if any one of our friend is absnt then we say “my note buk is with him/her….so……”
but now the most common is “Which home work mam/sir? did u gave a homewrk?”
and the whole class is in unity then……….:)

My excuse – “Exams are comming and hence i thought of practicing more than compleating silly notes,and when i had completed half of preparation , i was so immersed in it that i just forgot to complete H’work , but sir/madam, I assure you that i’ll complete my homework at all cost and will submit it as soon as possible, i will complete it , no problem i i have to burn midnight oil, please wait till then……”

Whatever excuses are listed here is all true. My common excuse is “I did the first 3 questions, I’ll do the rest afterwards”.

Yep it is the same with me.But I am clas Topper so n I too sometimes forget to do homework and use one of the following excuses.
