8 Types of Students In The Examination Hall

Meritnation|Jan 28th, 2015 06:14pm

Board Exams are round the corner , While the anxiety is building up, we have thought of lightening up the mood and help you all overcome nervousness.

Like they say, one does not understand the true meaning of tiredness until you have experienced board exams . As we enter the exam hall we come across some happy face , some nervous wrecks, some speed readers while some religious ones. No matter what the type , here are a few who made to to our list of definite types you will meet in the exam hall. So lets begin,

1. The First to Finish

You all must have come across this rare species of student. While some of us are afraid to even turn the paper over in the answer booklet in fear of the looks we’ll get, there are those who finish the exam before you even read the question paper. These people are pretty intimidating. They usually leave students quite confused. ‘Can they write really fast?’ That is the question.

2. The Human Xerox

Other than their names, these students are at loss of any answers to write in the exam. They’ve only got four actions programmed into them. They’ll look to the front, back, right and left. Some who have mastered these techniques will somehow be able to get answers from all the way across the room. Also called the ‘Exam Ninja’ .

3. Puppy Dog Eyes

As opposed to writing, they spend most of their time trying to catch someone’s attention so they can look at them with their sad little eyes and say, ‘I don’t know anything. Please help me’. It’s like seeing a cute little puppy on the street wagging its tail at you. You just have to look into those eyes and say ‘I can’t take you home, sorry’. But here it’ll be along the lines of, ‘Sorry, I wish I could help.’

4. Totally Chill

There’s always one person who’s completely unfazed by the fact that they’re sitting in an exam. This person is completely calm and collected and it’s very aggravating to look at them. They’re either incredibly intelligent or have just accepted their fate.‘I can’t be worried about that stuff. Life goes on, man’.

5. Funny Bone

The one laughing to themselves like they just made the best inside joke. You’ll want to know what’s so funny but you’ve got other things to worry about. Don’t fret, it’s usually hysteria that follows nervousness.

6. Amnesiac

They swear that they’ve studied for the exam but have somehow forgotten everything. And this is definitely the worst feeling ever. You’ve studied it all and it all looks so familiar but you’ve forgotten. It’s like having a word at the tip of your tongue but you just can’t get it. They might have done more than enough revision, but they have a total nervous breakdown anyway. More or less, these students are similar to the ‘Funny Bone’ type but they choose to do it the old-fashioned way, by sobbing into their desk

7. The one who always gets caught

This poor person tries to cheat whenever they can, but is unsuccessful because they are terrible at it. Usually the reason for their failed attempts are because they sound like they’ve swallowed a boom box or just really unlucky. They get yelled at and at the worst of times, get their paper taken away.

8. The last minute writer

They will be pretty relaxed during the first half of the exam but as soon as the invigilator announces that time is almost over, they turn into Flash. The teacher literally has to snatch the paper out of their hands for them to stop writing.

true ! completely true. There is one more category who before the exam say that they don’t know anything but at the end they know everything. Nobody knows where the knowledge comes from at a sudden.

Really nice!! My exams just got over! I am a last minute writer. I’ve finished most of my papers in the last minute. xD. I have never seen a funny bone(or been myself). Wish I could see someone like that next time…

Really true… there can be one more category. Students, who do not read anything for exams, ask stupid doubts during exams, disturbing the students who either concentrate completely or are trying to concentrate for their answers. 😛 😛

Really cool Team MeritNation 🙂 🙂

One more type! There are these who not only finish the exam in time, but keep on asking for extra sheets every ten minutes, which is really frustrating at times. Makes you feel as if you’re not doing enough yourself! 😛 BTW great classification, meritnation! 😉
