    Why are shadows longer in the morning and eveningandshortest at noon time?

    The shadow is longest in the morning and evening because the source of light i.e sun is far away from earth in the morning and evening. In other words, the angle between source of light with the surface of earth is greatest, so shadow is longest in the morning and evening.

    because in the morning the sun's rays fall slanting so they are longer while at noon the sun is above us and it is short

    BECAUSE IN MORNING AND EVENING THE SUN RAYS FALL ON AN OBJECT FROM THE SIDE BECAUSE OF THE CHANGE IN POSITION OF THE EARTH. IN THE NOON TIME THE SUN ​IS AT THE TOPMOST POINT AND ITS RAYS FALL VERTICALLY ON AN OBJECT RESULTING IN THE FORMATION OF A SMALL SHADOW.
