In the light of the current order by the Supreme Court regarding the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET), Jamia Millia Islamia University has issued a circular. The circular states the cancellation of the varsity’s BDS entrance examination and says that it will admit students through the NEET exam that will be administered by the CBSE.
“As per the order of the Supreme Court regarding National NEET administered by the CBSE, Jamia’s BDS entrance examination scheduled for June 3 stands cancelled,” the varsity said in a statement.
“All prospective candidates who are desirous of gaining admission to the BDS course at JMI for the academic year 2016-17 are required to appear in the NEET,” it added. Applicants who are already registered with Jamia for the BDS admission must submit their NEET Roll no. on their official website. Students who have not registered yet must do so from as the process will be reopened from 1 June to 15 June, 2016 & must appear for NEET-2.
