On the 10th and 11th of April, 2015, the online version of JEE Main was organised throughout the country. JEE Main concerns students aspiring to gain admission in IITs, IIITs, ISM, NITs. Aspirants who clear the JEE Main and score the minimum required marks are eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced exam. The online exam was introduced in order to make it convenient for aspirants to take the exam without having to travel extensively to offline exam centres. So far, the online exam has proved to be popular among examinees, owing to the convenience and non-traditional nature of the exams.

More than 13 lakh students appeared for the JEE Main 2015 exam. The number of examinees saw a slightly drop as compared to that in 2014. The results of JEE Main (both offline and online) are expected to be released on the 27th of April, 2015, on JEE’s official website. JEE Advanced exam is scheduled to be conducted on 24th May, 2015.
