what is the difference between co-interior angles and corresponding angles?

Co-interior angles

When two lines are crossed by another line (i.e. transversal), then the pair of angles on one the same side of the transversal but inside the two lines are called co-interior angles (or consecutive interior angles).

Here, in the figure; a and b are co-interior angles; and c and d are co-interior angles.

If the two lines l and m are parallel, then the sum of two co-interior angles is always 180°.

i.e., a + b = 180° and c + d = 180°.

Corresponding angles

Co-interior angles are interior angles on the same side of the tranversal. These angles are also known as consecutive interior angles or allied angles.

Corresponding angles are the angles on the same side of the tranversal. To put it in another way, say you have a tranversal 'l' and two lines 'm' and 'n'. The corresponding angles are the ones which lie on the same side of 'l' on 'm' and 'n'.

Hope this helps
