According to periodic trends, atomic radii decreases from left to write in the period. But why do Halogen group elements have bigger radii as compared to Chalcogen(oxygen group) group? And then again the atomic radii decreases from Halogens to Noble Gas elements. Why is there a break of trend with Halogens?
