Dear experts in this question why cant we ignore m(e) as we have to calculatd the max kinetic energy. I viewedthe solution to this question but there they talk something about nuclear mass and all. What is that and why do we adopt that concept only to this question.this is an ncert text question q13.13 from nuclei. No links pls. I have asked this many times yeti didnt get a proper answer

The nucleus Ne23 goes beta minus decay .calculate the max kinetic energy of electrons.so here it is max energy so we ignore electron mass and use eq 1 if it wad q factor we go by eq 2 ryt?

Dear experts why is equation 2 given in your site, equation 1 only should be used. Because for all the questions they go by eq 1 method . They are talking something in terms of atomic mass nuclear mass. Why is that logic not applied for all qs? Why dont we ignore positron mass since q is about max k.e. of positron

The question iato set up an eq for finding q factor from the given eq. According to the solution on your site, why do we subtract 6me from carbon whereas for the question 13.14 picture you add 10 me to neon and ignore electron mass in product side
