Here is the solution of your asked query:
5 ) Let breadth be x
Twice the breadth=2x8m less than twice the breadth=2x-8so, length of rectangle=2x-8And we know that perimeter of rectangle = 2length+breadth so we have;perimeter=2x+2x-8=56 meter⇒2x+22x-8=56⇒2x+4x-16=56⇒6x=72⇒x=726=12So breadth is 12m
And length =2×12-8=16m                                                    6
) Since two parts are in the ratio 5:3, so let the parts be 5x and 3x
Now according to question we have;one part is 10 more than other;5x=3x+10⇒5x-3x=10⇒2x=10⇒x=102=5so the parts are 5×5 i
e  25 and 3×5 i e  15
Therefore parts of number are 25 and 15
 and the number is 25+15=40
