A teacher finds that 2 bottles in the lab are having HCl and sodium hydroxide the bottles are not labelled both the liquids are colourless how will she know which is HCl and which is sodium hydroxide?

Dear Student,
In order for the teacher to identify which solution is an acid and which one is a base , use an indicator .Simply litmus solution or litmus paper can be used .
Acids change blue litmus to red while bases change red litmus to blue , on this basis you can identify the HCl (acid) and NaOH (base)
