i know the answer for d second question...
iron and steel are called basic industries as their finished product is used as raw materials for othe industries.
eg:the finished product in iron and steel industry is the pure iron and steel sheets/ rods/ pieces ,etc which can be used as raw material for other industry like automobile industry which uses iron and steel as raw materials
