dear experts of maths my maths teacher explains perimeter like this so is this also correct?
Q:find the perimeter of a regular hexagon with each side measuring 8m.
A: P=6 x side
p=6 x 8m
p=48m
And experts i hope that you will give the answer so that i can come to know about that which one is correct or both the ways are correct.

perimeter of a polygon = sum of the lengths of its side
since its a regular hexagon, number of side = 6
and the length of each side are equal.
therefore
perimeter of the regular hexagon = 6 * side
hope this helps you.
cheers!!
