Describe the development of endosperm after double fertilization in an angiosperm. Why endosperm development does proceeds that of zygote?

Dear student,
Please find below the solution to the asked query

Free nuclear: The nucleus present in primary endosperm formed after double fertilization divides and give rise to free nuclei.

Cellular endosperm: Cell wall formation occurs after the formation of nuclei. The embryo may consume the endosperm fully (e.g. beans) or retain it for mature seed (coconut).

The endosperm development precedes the formation of an embryo because embryo or zygote derives nutrition from the endospermic cells.
