explain the production of cotton textile industry

At,present ,cotton textile industry organised modern industry of India .Production of cotton cloth is produced in three different sectors viz,Mills,Power-looms and Handlooms.The mill sector played a dominant role in cotton textile industry at the intial stage .But,it's importance was reduced with the growth of powerlooms and handloom.Powerloom it is the decentralised sector which plays a pivotal role in meeting the clothing needs of the country.Handlooms sector provided employment to over 65 lakh persons engaged in weaving and allied activities.About 16 % of the industrial capital and over 20 % of the industrial labour of the country is engaged in this country.
