He is a s block element but it is placed with p block elements (with grp 18) bcz it has similar properties like noble gasses . Then He is S block element or a noble gas ?

Helium is a p block element.
It is placed in the first period.It has 2 electrons in the K shell .K shell can accomodate only 2 electrons to the maximum, i.e, helium is in the stable state, Therefore its placed in the group of inert gases ,which  lies in the p-block of the periodic table.
