​Hey friends, please tell me this in 60-80 words:  How can you say that despite being illiterate, the grandmother understood the importance of formal education ?

Despite being illiterate, grandmother knew the importance of education and sent her children and grandchildren to school. She took keen interest in literature and followed her favourite author's novel 'Kashi Yatre', as printed chapter-wise in the newspaper, closely. As she could not read herself, she relied on her grand daughter to read it to her: she was intelligent and could reproduce the story verbally after listening to it. When her grand daughter was away for a marriage in another village, she felt extremely dependent as she could not read the story herself. She fully realised the disadvantage of being illiterate and set about to change her situation. Without any hesitation, she treated her grand daughter as her teacher and mastered Kannada to be able to re ad on her own!
