How will you convert the following:
- Benzoic acid into m-bromobenzoic acid
- Propanal into butanone
- Benzoylchloride into benzonitrile

(i) benzoic acid on reacting with bromine in presence of a Lewis acid catalyst (FeBr3) can give m-bromobenzoic acid.
(ii) propanal on reaction with methyl magnesium iodide (Grignard reagent) gives 2-butanol which on oxidation in presence of CrO3 gives a ketone i.e. butanone.
(iii) benzoyl chloride on hydrolysis gives benzoic acid, which on reacting with potassium thiocyanate gives benzonitrile.
