I am unable to understand half reaction method...Is it ok if I only know oxidation no method?

For entrance exams,  no one is going to mind your steps. For board exams,  there is a 50% chance , that you might get a question to solve using half reaction only. But no worries, you will have an optional question too. So you can skip that if you are thorough with the rest of the chapter.
