i doesn't understand the topic regular and irregular polygon.please explain it with some examples.

Hi!

A polygon whose all sides are of equal length is called a regular polygon. If all sides of a polygon are not of same length, then it is called an irregular polygon. Some regular polygons are given as,

polygons are those fig. made up of lines. if all the sides of a polygon is equal then it is calledas  regular polygon and if the sides r not equal then it is known as an irregular polygon. For example a triangle is a polygon but if all sides of the triangle r equal then it is called as a regular polygon and if the sides of a triangle r not equal then it is called as an irregular polygon............ hope it is the answer 4 ur question. :p

Regular Polygon= A regular is that polygon whose all the sides as well as all the angles are equal.e.g. An equilateral Triangle. In this triangle (polygon) its all sides are equal as well as all its angles(=60 degree).

Irregular Polygon= It is a type of polygon in which all the sides and angles are not equal.e.g. Scalene triangle. In this triangle neither all sides are equal nor all angles.
