- RBC refers to Red blood cells, also known as erythrocytes. These cells contains a red colour pigment known as haemoglobin that provides red colour to the blood.
- RBC's are devoid of nucleus and that helps in accomodating oxygen carrying pigment haemoglobin.
- RBC's are also very small and have biconcave structure that provides large surface area to volume ratio that facilitates quicker oxygen binding.
