A- Interventricular septum prevents mixing of oxygenated and deoxygenated blood.
B - i. Aorta supplies oxygenated blood throughout the body.
ii. Pulmonary artery supplies deoxygenated blood to the lungs.
C- Pulmonary artery carries deoxygenated blood and pulmonary vein carries oxygenated blood.
D- Tricuspid valve is found between the right atrium and right ventricle whereas bicuspid valve is found between left atrium and left ventricle.
E. The heart sounds correspond with closing of the valves. First heart sound results due to closure of the mitral and tricuspid valves. Second heart sound is produced due to the closure of aortic and pulmonary valves.
