Dear student,

1. They were too honest to lie yet too crazy to ride the horse. The did not plan to  return the horse soon but it hit their conscience that this was stealing which was completely against their ethics and tribal norms. Their family was famed for it's honesty. Even though the narrator and his cousin stole the horse they were not dishonest people as in the end they return the horse back to its owner.

2. I do not agree with the concept of stealing as described here because keeping anything without the owner's permission is a wrong thing to do whether or not it is sold off.
