Ladakh is on the eastern side of Jammu and Kashmir.
It lies in the Great Himalayas.
It is a cold desert.
Here, in Ladakh Altitude varies from 3000m in Kargil to more than 8000m in Karakoram.
Climate is extremely cold and dry due to its high altitude.
Day temperatures in summer remains above zero degree and in night -30 degree celcius.
In winters, its freezing cold when temperatures remain -40 degree celcius.
There is a little rainfall as well every year.
