Solve:
  48÷2(9+3)
{I tried solving this question in different ways. But, I got two different answers, first answer "2" and another "288".
I want the experts answer to conform which answer is correct.}

Dear Student,

We apply the rule of BODMASBrackets-Of-Division-Multiplication-Addition-Subtraction to answer the given question.We have: 48 ÷ 29 + 3Here, we first solve the sum inside the brackets.So, 48 ÷ 29 + 3 = 48 ÷ 212 = 48 ÷ 2 × 12Now, we divide first and then multiply.So, 48 ÷ 2 × 12= 24 × 12= 288

2 is the right answer as according to the BODMAS rule brackets are supposed to be calculated first
  • -1
48?2(3+9)=24?(3+9)=24?12=288
  • 1
2nd answer is correct
  • 1
48/2(9 + 3) = 48/2(12)
= 48/2 * 12
