The adjacent sides of a parallelogram is differ by 30cm , If its perimeter is 160c,find its side.

Let a and b be the 2 adjacent sides, (a>b).

now, a - b = 30    ......(1)

also, perimeter = 160 cm
so, 2 (a + b) = 160
      a + b = 80    .....(2)
adding (1) and (2), we get
$$\begin{gathered} 2a = 110 \\ \Rightarrow a = 55 cm \\ from \left(2\right), we get \\ b = 80 - 55 = 25 cm \end{gathered}$$
