The perimeter of a rectangle is 44 cm .if its length is increased by 4 cm and its breadth is increased 2 cm its area is increased by 72 sqcm Find the dimensions of the rectangle.

Let l and b be the length and breadth of the original rectangle.  As per question, the new length is l + 4 and new breadth is b + 2. 

Therefore the dimensions of the rectangle are: l = 12 cm and b = 10 cm
