Two phenomena that takes place during the formation of rainbow in the raindrops are dispersion and total internal reflection. With the help of a clear, proper and understandable diagram... explain the two phenomena in a proper easy and explained way.
(Please don't provide any half answer or any copy pasted answer... also don't provide any web link or certified answer .. I want the whole answer along with the picture to be provided by the experts only... Just typically answered)...
Plz...
(And don't tell that... This is not in my syllabus.... I just want my typical explained answer)
Dear Student,
![Image result for Two phenomena that takes place during the formation of rainbow in the raindrops are dispersion and total internal reflection. With the help of a clear, proper and understandable diagram...](http://www.rebeccapaton.net/rainbows/rnbwbmp.gif)
See in the figure total internal reflection is taking place at the in liquid drop
internal reflection means total light falling on the interface of liquid to air should total internally reflect .
and dispersion means splitation of different wavelength light .
Reason of dispersion is different refractive index for different wave length , due to which reflection angle is different
for different wavelength light . And we are seeing splitation.
