Types of HOUSE

Dear student,

There are more than 30 varieties of houses, few of them classified on the basis of the region they are built in are as follows:

1. The houses in Terai region ,Goa and mangalore have sloping roofs as these regions have heavy rainfall during the monsoon. Due to the sloping roof the rainwater can flow off towards the ground.
2. Houses in hilly areas ( Himachal Pradesh) are basically made of wood and have sloping roofs.
3. In Cambodia we find wooden houses built on stilts, where there is a problem of water logging.
4. In Deserts (Rajasthan) houses are made of mud with thick walls. The houses are mostly coloured white so that they can reflect the heat.
