Paragraph writing is the foundation of all essay writing weather in the form of expository, persuasive, narrative or creative.
For writing and good paragraph we have to remember 4 basic elements.
1 Unity - Unity begins with the topic sentence every paragraph has one single controlling idea that is expressed in its topic sentence which is typically the first sentence of the paragraph.
2 Order - order his words to the way you organise your supporting sentence whether you choose order of importance etc. Order helps the Reader graph your meaning and avoid confusion.
3 Coherence - it is the quantity quality that makes your writing understandable. Sentence with in a paragraph need to connect to each other and work together as a whole. Also, in paragraph writing using correct verb tense and point of view are important ingredients of coherence.
4 Completeness - Completeness means paragraph is well developed. If all sentences clearly and sufficiently support the main Idea than your paragraph is complete. The last sentence of a paragraph must be summarize your main Idea by rainforcing you topic sentence.
