What are the two types of frequency series ??
Dear student,
The two types of Frequency series are Discrete series and Continuous series.
Discrete series- The series in which data are presented in such a manner that exact measurement of items are clearly shown is known as Discrete series. There are no class intervals.
Example:
Discrete series of the size of household
Continuous series- The series in which items cannot be exactly measured is known as Continuous series .The items assume a range of values and are placed within the range of limits known as class intervals.

Discrete series of the size of household
Size of household | Number of household |
1 | 6 |
2 | 10 |
3 | 12 |
4 | 20 |

Example:
Marks | Frequency |
0-10 | 4 |
10-20 | 5 |
20-30 | 7 |
30-40 | 9 |
