What is Lpg know in gaseous or liquid state

LPG stands for Liquefied petroleum gas .It exists in a gaseous form in normal atmospheric conditions  and is stored and supplied in the form of liquid at modest pressure. Thus at high pressures it can be transported in concentrated form.

Thus when it comes out of cylinder  at normal atmospheric conditions converts into gaseous form.  

And its compressed form in a cylinder is liquid thus it is known as liquefied petroleum gas. It contains mainly propane and butane as a hydrocarbon.
