What is the reason for this?????

Dear Student,

In general melting pooint increases across the group in transition metal, but in Mn the bonding character is affected by half-filled d-orbital, increased shielding-effect from nuclei resulting in  lowered melting point.

Note: More unpaired electron results in forming stronger bonds resulting in higher melting point, hence orbital filling plays a vital role in determination of melting point.

Regards.
