what led to decline of pastoralism in India ?

Decline of pastoralism can be attributed to the following:
a. They have changed their course of movement, with new borders being laid out.
b. Pastoralists have reduced their number of cattle's as grazing land shrank over a period of time.
c. Many of them have lost their cattle and have become laborers , working in fields.
d. Many began buying land and started settling down, giving up their nomadic life.
e. Some became settled peasants cultivating land, other took to more extensive trading.
f. Colonial policies largely impacted them due to which thy lost their pastures.
