What type of respiration is performed by RBC? Why respiration of RBC is different explain in detail.

Dear student,

Our body's red blood cells are responsible for carrying oxygen and carbon dioxide from one part of the body to another. The oxygen and carbon dioxide links in the RBCs are made possible by the haemoglobin protein.

The RBCs, on the other hand, lack the mitochondria needed for aerobic respiration. As a result, anaerobic respiration is their only source of energy.
