When blood group O is transfused to blood group A, doesn't the antibody A (from O blood) clump with antigen A(from A blood) ?

Dear student,
Please find below the solution to the asked query

The O- blood group does not contain any antigens but has both A and B antibodies in the plasma. If O- blood group donates blood to A blood type, there will be no reaction between antigen and antibody because during transfusion, the antibodies present in the plasma are removed from O blood group and mainly blood cells -RBCs or platelets are transformed into the recipient. Hence, it does not generate immune response and cause clumping of blood.

Hope this information will clear your doubts about the blood transfusion.
