Whether the patoralists were forced to give taxes for entering the forests to obtain some forest products?

Pastoralists could not collect anything from the best forests known as Reserved Forests. Their entry was totally banned in these forests.​For house building or fuel, they could collect wood from protected or village forests only. Pastoralists had to pay taxes on every animal they grazed on the pastures. They were given a pass which they had to show and pay tax before entering the grazing land.
