Which are the most thickly populated parts of India.

Dear Student,

a. Distribution of population is dependent on many factors like climate, resources, relief features and other political, social and economic fcators
b. In fact, half of India’s population lives in just five states , Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar, West Bengal, and Andhra Pradesh
​c.  
Northern plains have very high density of population because of 
d. Densities vary from 904 persons per sq km in West Bengal to only 13 persons per sq km in Arunachal Pradesh. Assam and most of the Peninsular states have moderate population densities.
e Kerala and other states in the south have high to very high population densities.
f. Density of population is largely dependent on many factors like economic, climatic, physical etc.
