Who gives the government its power ??

Dear Student,

In a democracy, it is the Constitution of the country gives the government its powers. It clearly defines the powers and functions of the government and its organs. It also controls the misuse of power by the government through its guidelines in the form of laws.

Also, it is noteworthy that in a democratic country like ours, it is the people who elect their representatives and give them the power to run the government. But this is again done as per the guidelines of the Constitution of the country.
