This is because it is only the animal who can walk on the soft sand of desert without sinking, can eat the prickly desert plant without pain and can store food in its hemp and water in its blood and even carries people and loads. Camel is adapted to live in the desert with like this adaptive feature and thus called 'ship of the dessert '.
