Why do you think India is a democracy?

India is a democracy because 1) The people elect their representatives, who on behalf of the people govern them 2) The main decision making power lies in the hands of the representatives elected by the people 3) People can change the rulers if they do not fulfill their demands. 4) The elected representatives are answerable to the people for their actions. 5) Elections are held regularly and every vote has one value.

India is a democracy because the government is democratically elected and the prime minister is elected by the president.

India is a democratic country because in India anyone can stand revolt against the government, anyone can participate in the government(if in the age category), every citizen above the age of 18 can vote etc..
