IF IT IS BIOTIC THEN WHY?
AND IF IT  IS ABIOTIC .
BUT WE GET WOOD FROM TREE AND TREE IS BIOTIC BECAUSE THINGS WHICH ARE LIVING AND PRESENT IN NATURE ARE SAID TO BE BIOTIC

Wood is only the part of a tree which we use for various purposes mainly as a fuel. It is an abiotic resourse . For clear understanding - Plants are biotic resources because we use them directly (when they are living ) . But wood is obtains from trees and is non living .After several processes only we use them . HOPE IT HELPS
