write an activity to show how metals and non-metals reacts with sodium hydroxide..... plz fast......no link
Dear Student,
There are few metals which react with NaOH to form metal salts
For example, zinc reacts with sodium hydroxide to produce sodium zincate along with the evolution of hydrogen gas.
The following chemical reaction takes place
Zn + 2NaOH → Na2ZnO2 + H 2
Non-metals usually don't react with bases.
Hope this information will clear your doubts about topic.
