Write main functions of nucleus and chromoplasts
Dear student,
Functions of nucleus:
Functions of chromoplasts:
Functions of nucleus:
- It controls all metabolic activities of the cell like growth and metabolism.
- It helps in the transfer of characters from parents to offspring.
- It regulates the cell cycle and controls cell division and cell growth.
- It stores DNA, RNA and ribosomes.
- It is involved in protein and enzyme synthesis.
Functions of chromoplasts:
- Chromoplasts are coloured plastids, containing coloured pigments like carotene (orange), xanthophylls (yellow) etc which are responsible for colours in different parts of the plant like fruits, flowers, buds, etc.
